This New York Toneking trumpet has a removable tuning slide spacer to change the key from Bb to A. The original brace for the middle slide spacer was brazed to the tube (normally the brace has a flange that is soldered to the tube), and it was nowhere to be found, leaving holes in the top & bottom slide tubes.

We installed some traditional style socket braces that match pretty well and seal up the big holes! The tubes still had some leakage due to the loose fit of the tuning slide tubes, so we fit them to remove any leakage. The "0" on the Magnehelic shows that the slide assembly is now airtight, straight, and ready to be played!
