This is a C.G. Conn 4G (New Invention) valve trombone that we are selling on consignment. It was built in Elkhart, IN and the serial number #135445 dates it at 1914. It is silver plated with some gold wash remaining in the bell flare. Overall the instrument is in fair condition for its age. It was recently cleaned and all valves and slides move freely. The bell diameter measures 7".
There are no major dents in the instrument, but some small ones throughout (#1 & #2 slide crooks, bell crook). There is average wear and plating loss throughout the instrument. The leadpipe shows corrosion throughout, however it has been pressure tested and is not leaking. Includes a Sarad mouthpiece and a soft ProTec gig bag.
