This is an antique J.W. York & Sons Perfec-Tone cornet. The Serial #50875 indicates it was built in approximately 1918. Includes an additional main tuning slide that seems to change the Key from Bb to B. The instrument just received our Ultrasonic cleaning, Synthetic Valve Alignment and complete pressure test. The finish is in good condition for a 100+ year old instrument. Silver plated with gold wash in the bell, around the bell flare and on the bell engraving. Some average wear throughout and some evidence of dent removal, but overall this instrument is in good cosmetic condition. The valves are pretty leaky and would benefit from a valve rebuild. Includes the original York Al-Tru mouthpeice with bit adapter, original case, cleaning rod, a Bach 6 mouthpiece and modern hard shell case.
