This is a very nice used vintage Conn 6M "Naked Lady" "Lady Face" alto saxophone. The serial number 297962 indicates it was built in approximately 1941. The instrument retains approximately 95% the original lacquer and is in very nice condition for the age. There are a few minor dings throughout, but overall the body is in very nice condition. There are some scratches on the front of the bow, where it meets the bell. The original microtuner neck is included, the microtuner works incredibly smoothly and there is some lacquer wear.
The instrument plays fairly well on the old Reso-Pads (it has had a few pads replaced with reskinned Reso rings to retain originality), but would benefit from a Complete Repad & Mechanical Overhaul. Also included is the original "Conn Guarantee" card, original Conn Standard Steelay 5 hard rubber mouthpiece with brass ligature and vintage leather neck strap. The original case is in very nice condition as well.
