This is a vintage Selmer Paris Series 9 Bb wood clarinet. The Serial #S9006 indicates it was built in 1962. The instrument has a grenadilla wood body with nickel plated keywork. The top joint had a crack pinned at some point and it is still sealing well. The nickel plating is in excellent condition with very minor wear. The instrument just received our Complete Repad & Mechanical Overhaul with professional Synthetic Masters pads, synthetic key felts and all new natural joint corks. It plays very well and the keywork is very tight.
Includes two barrels: a Buffet Crampon R13 66mm and a DEG Accubore B62 62mm. Both barrels have a small space between the barrel and top joint shoulder when installed. There is a nickel tenon cap on the top joint tenon and we think that is spacing the barrels up just a bit (see pictures).
Includes original Selmer Vanguard case, which is in excellent condition for its age. Does NOT include a mouthpiece.
