Marc Jean Tenor Ligature Model 700 Lacquered (Hard Rubber)

We are proud to offer the Marc Jean line of ligatures.

Marc Jean's Ligature concept is:
Two round pieces of hard wood are positioned in a non-parallel way in a reversed metal band ligature. This oversized ligature is indented to securely receive the two wood sticks and is also equipped with two strips of thin cork to avoid sliding of ligature and reed with tuning.  The two cork strips also eliminate the risks of scratching the top of the mouthpiece.

Marc's ligatures are all very "free blowing" making your kit (sax or clarinet, mouthpiece, ligature and reed) easy to play even on a longer period of time. The sound given is clean (not bright) and full of harmonics with all of the characteristics provided from your mouthpiece. It naturally opens up the sound. All accents and nuances are improved, most people say by 15%; even the attacks are 15 % faster.

This Model 700 lacquered ligature is for a STANDARD HARD RUBBER TENOR saxophone mouthpiece.  Please contact Marc Jean directly for specific fitment inquiries.

**Fits Drake, Jody Jazz HR, Lamberson, Meyer, Otto Link, Phil-tone, RPC, Selmer, Vandoren, Yamaha, Yanagisawa and many more.
